My story: William Russell
To those who want to quit the smoking addiction, it can be done. I tried 2 or three times but just didnt have the will power, finally I went on Chantix , even then I kept smoking . Then after talking to a counselor, we came up with this plan , stop smoking for a day , then the next day smoke lightly, then go 2 days not smoking, on the third day smoke lightly , then stop smoking for three days then on the 4th day smoke lightly , then when 5 days came to stop smoking I continued and never looked back. You have such a feeling of power that you conquered the cigaretts and not the other way around.

I'm an ex smoker, but mine is dinfereft. My husband is also in medical. He always joked me that officer's wives don't smoke. The day we were officially married, last Halloween, I got violently ill [we seriously think it was H1N1] I was in no mood to move, let alone smoke! I went a week without one. When I was up to feeling alive and felt like a smoke, it was the most disgusting thing ever. I have not had a smoke since then. It still turns my stomach! I think God was working through me to get me healthy. We are looking at having kids, and getting pregnant, so that inspiration helps me. I don't know if you're spiritual or religious, but say a little prayer when you feel the craving. If not, simply call to mind the importance of not smoking for your future baby... that's definitely more important than the instant urge for a smoke.Best of luck to you... it's a constant struggle.
I'm scohekd that I found this info so easily.
Thankshope it works for you
Congrats. It is a giant feat that most do not even try, but seeing that someone else has accomplished it can inspire many people to quit.
Hi William,Your story brings up a very important point... cutting down can be a difficult (if not impossible) way for most to stop smoking, but with the right attitude and desire to quit, it could be just the ticket. Great job!
