My story: Dickie
I live in Windham with my wife and my two teenage kids. Like an idiot, I started smoking when I was 16. At the height of my smoking I was up to three packs a day. My entire family smoked and his mom eventually developed throat cancer. Since that happened, my family has quit smoking, but that’s the not the main reason I quit. I just got sick of cigarettes controlling my life. I couldn’t go anywhere without them and everything was revolving around smoking. Finally I quit June 2009. I used the Maine Tobacco Helpline and found them helpful. They got me started with the process, but eventually I got hypnotized to quit.
